Consultancy to Provide Assistance to Member States to Harmonize Company, Partnership and Insolvency Laws and Instruments for the Mutual Recognition of Companies
BIICL is delighted to be working with Dr Nicole Pierce, Deputy Director of the Institute of Small and Micro States on a new research project aiming to provide assistance to the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) member states (Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago) to harmonize company, partnership and insolvency laws and instruments for the mutual recognition of companies and partnerships.

The research will strive to develop draft model legislative provisions to facilitate the harmonization of laws governing the status and activities (including establishment, dissolution, insolvency, mutual recognition, where applicable) of companies and partnerships operating from a base within the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) and legislation relating to insolvency.
